Allow me to introduce myself: I’m Alaeddin (or Ala) and I’ve created this website because I truly believe in the power of music in making our everyday lives better.
I love music, and I love mixing all the amazing uplifting songs I come across every day. It started for me back in 2011 when I first started dabbling with mixing software under the pseudonym DJ Seroton. I was inspired by few DJs who truly put care into their craft and produced mixes that were much larger than the sum of their parts.
Fast forward 5 years, with over 50 high-quality mixes in Chillout, Ambient and Trance genres, a residency on Frisky Radio and several collaborations and guest mixes, I became confident that this is something I want to do for the rest of my life. I want to make people’s lives better through the power of uplifting music and to create timeless mixes that will live on for generations to come.
To do that, I had to approach this differently. Most DJs who produce weekly/monthly podcasts do that for free to support their other income-generating activities like album sales and DJ gigs. For me, I’m interested in neither. My sole purpose and my highest point of contribution come from curating and expertly mixing a set of uplifting songs, irrespective of genre or trendiness, to create a masterpiece that will inspire and motivate you towards a better life or simply be there for you throughout your day.
This is why I’m creating something bigger and more sustainable. All the support I get from you guys through your subscription to Full Dose membership goes to support the costs of running and maintaining Uplifting Pills, and hopefully someday in the future provide me sufficient income to call this my only job. What a day that would be!
Those of you who may have been a fan of my work under DJ Seroton may have complained about the lack of consistency in my releases. This is set to change now. I’m committing to a regular release schedule of 10 days. That means every 10 days there will be a new album release, alternating between the 3 pill categories (happy pills, chill pills, and calm pills).
Finally, I want to give a shoutout to those few loyal fans who’ve supported my DJ Seroton work. You’ve given me the faith to make it to this day and build this site to give you more of what you loved in a consistent and sustainable manner. Thank you!
